Working experience and occupation(s) during the past 10 years | 2007-2009: Mr Sugden has been a senior executive within the Property Group of AMP Capital Investors since November 2007 and has been based in Singapore since joining AMP Capital Investors (AMPCI). Within AMPCI, Mr Sugden is responsible for the development and management of AMPCI's real estate fund management in Asia. Prior to joining AMPCI, Mr Sugden worked from December 2000 with the Macquarie Bank group, holding various appointments in Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, including: 2000-2002: Director of special projects within the property investment management group in Sydney, Australia, analysing and executing business development opportunities within the suite of listed property trusts (REITs) managed by Macquarie. 2002-2004: CEO of Macquarie International Asset Management Company in Seoul, Korea, creating and managing property fund investment vehicles, including the IPO and management of a listed CR REIT on KSX. 2004-2005: Head of New Business Development for South East Asia, based initially in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia but relocating to Singapore following completion of Macquarie's sponsorship and 50% acquisition of the Manager of Macquarie MEAG Prime REIT (now Starhill Global REIT). 2005-2006: Deputy CEO of Macquarie MEAG Prime REIT Management Limited in Singapore, on secondment from Macquarie. 2006-2007: General Manager, Macquarie Office Trust, a listed REIT on ASX with assets under management of A$6.5 million in mid 2007. Leading up to Mr Sugden's appointment with the Macquarie Bank group, he was Director and Head of Asset Management for Chesterton International in NSW, Australia. In addition to Mr Sugden's employment positions over the last ten years, he has also been active with professional and commercial representative bodies including: Until 2001: Committee members for both Australian Property Institute (NSW) and RICS (Oceania) 2003-2004: Vice Chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ANZCCK) 2005-present: Member of the founding members committee and subsequently board and executive committee member on Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA), currently holding the position of Vice President. |
